Here you will obtain a taste of why the Good Schools’ Guide described Leaden Hall as ‘a little piece of Eden’. We are set in a unique situation in the beautiful and tranquil Cathedral Close and provide an exceptional quality of education. However it is the people who put the heart into a school and the mutually-respectful and supportive partnership that exists within our wonderful community of children, staff, parents and governors is what contributes to making the school the unique place that it is.Our girls are special; I noticed that the first time I visited the school, as will you. They are confident, charming, articulate and overwhelmingly positive in their outlook. I believe this is down to the fact that we have no sanctions with constructive praise and encouragement being the cornerstones of our ethos. The children strive to be their ‘best selves’ and we expect excellence to be the goal for everyone.
We believe that children learn best when they are happy and relaxed and feel secure. However we do not believe in wrapping children in cotton-wool and the girls are actively encouraged to learn from their mistakes and not be afraid to take risks thereby fostering the invaluable life skills of perseverance and resilience.
As described by our ISI inspector, Leaden Hall is a truly ‘magical place’ and although the website will give you a tantalising taste you will only feel that magic by visiting us. We look forward to welcoming you.
