The School Council at Leaden Hall was established in 2010 and is now running with its second group of ‘elected representatives’. The aim of the Council is to give the girls an early experience of democracy and to allow them to see it in action. All pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 are welcome to put themselves forward for election and are given the opportunity to state why they feel they are best suited for the position of ‘School Council Representative’. It is then their job to bring queries, questions and solutions to the table during our termly meetings. So far, members of the council have attended meetings with the Headmistress, the School Business Manager and our Head of Catering. Our current project is to expand and develop our outdoor play area.
