"Your poem, "GREEN", has been chosen as runner-up in the 5 - 8 category. We had scores of entries, so this is an excellent achievement and I hope you are pleased with this result as we were with the brilliant response once again to this competition.
You have won a copy of "The New Faber Book of Children's Poems" by Matthew Sweeney. As a runner-up, you are cordially invited to the Ottakar's Presentation Evening. Hopefully all the winners and runners-up will be there to read their poems and collect their prizes.
The winners of the national competition, as judged by Poet Laureate Andrew Motion, will also be announced at the party."
